Water splashes from the scrying pool so wildly that Tetomu is totally drenched! She is frantic to call the team, and so she turns to us, the audience (specifically the children) and asks us at her count to call "Gaoranger!" and so we do. In response our heroes close with Yaba-iba, Tsue Tsue and a group of Aurgettes. They manage to drive them all off without much trouble. The annoyed pair vanish together but not without a final word. Their faces only appear in the air and they stick out their tongues and pull down their lower eyelids on one side in a traditional child's gesture of defiance. (their tongues are forked like snakes', but the way) Our heroes are puzzling over this easy victory when Tetomu has been so alarmed, when suddenly a strange wind blows. It catches Silver's attention first. Suddenly the wind picks up... picks up the Gaoranger, that is. Tetomu is blown into their midst and they cling to assorted metal objects. It is White who points out first that above them a strange vortex opens. Before they know it, they are sucked inside.
White, Blue and Yellow wake up on a beach. While Blue and Yellow work to haul Black out of the sand (in which he is embedded head-first to the waist, *sigh* again?) it is White who takes note of their surroundings. In the skies above them hang three gigantic moons. And beyond those shine three, white suns. Well this is an interesting development. Black is rescued but spitting up sand. Before our heroes get much chance to fret about their location, a whirlwind hurtles towards them. Slashing blades cut at their clothes and leave them reeling until the wind stops, proving to be a strange Duke Aurg with a crowd of Aurgettes. This is Hades, by the way. He remarks upon the fact that they are humans, as though it is some sort of surprise (and I suppose it must be). He is about to launch an attack against our heroes, who respond by hauling out the G-Phones and shouting "Gao Access!" Just as they are about to transfer into their fighting armor, Black hears a noise and cries warning, for there are arrows whizzing through the air. Our folks hit the sand. Some of the arrows make pincushions out of some of the Aurgettes. There are a large number of men in deep green tunics rushing the Aurg. Their leader gives a signal. While the Aurg concentrate on them, other men set explosives on the ridge above, and the group of Aurg is buried under a rain of boulders.
At this point I'm probably going to mess up some of the sequence, but I think it'll be all right, anyway. The rebels take the four Gaoranger home with them to a very movable camp in the deep woods. Families live here, children tend chickens with their parents, others play at being warriors. Adults make pottery, arrows, basic other duties. And our four heroes blend in as best they can. An elderly woman repairs the Gaoranger's jackets, for which Black thanks her and massages her shoulders. Blue is practicing wielding a blade with a young man, and gets scolded laughingly when he holds it wrong. He improves. White gives a young girl who looks quite old enough to feed herself spoons of something. Yellow is ensconsed with Kaito learning about the history of the island, and that tomorrow with be the great solar eclipse. All three moons will eclipse all three suns. Kaito must meet with Iriya in a certain place, or all is lost.
Iriya, you say, what about her? Well, At about the same time as those four are having their adventure, so are the other three. Silver, Red and Tetomu seem to have been found while unconscious by Zeus, who trussed them up like deer killed while hunting and brings them home, through the gate to the Aurg castle. He sends Red and Silver down to the mines, and Tetomu... well, he brings her up to the main hall as a present for his brother, Poseidon. Tetomu struggles all the way, ranting protest at the Aurgettes dragging her. When they turn her to display to Poseidon, he is pleased at what he sees. He bashes one Aurgette aside where it cracks the wall at impact and takes her chin in his hand to study her more closely. "Where did you find this?" Zeus plops into his chair and gives a brief explanation.
Silver and Red, still quite bound, are tossed to the ground by the annoyed Aurgettes in charge of them. They are about to get the defiance beat out of them when a young woman races out from among the slaves and imperiously demands that the Aurgettes leave these two alone on the grounds that they won't be much use if they're too badly injured to work. She points out that the brothers will be angry. The Aurgettes are still annoyed, but they can hardly argue her logic and stomp off in a huff. She takes the two men in hand and tends their small injuries with the help of another person. Silver's right hand and Red's left wrist both need to be bandaged and as she takes care of them, she tells them who she is. "You're a PRINCESS?!" exclaims Red. She hushes him, he obligingly covers his offending mouth with his fingers, and Iriya goes on to relate what Kaito is, at the same time, relating to Yellow. And like their four companions, our two young heroes are all too willing to help.
The morning comes. Aurgettes find themselves struggling to keep the door to the castle shut against a small invading army, and failing. Kaito heads the attack, the four Gaoranger at his side and his people. They start to fight their way through the castle. Hearing the sounds of battle, Iriya calls on her people that now's the time. While most attack their guards, she and a select group start their run out of the mines. Her people are soon wiped out by a wave of Aurgettes, but Silver and Red come to her side and help race her through the maze. White, Black and Blue hold off Hades to allow Kaito and Yellow to make it through. Silver holds Zeus, having transferred into his fighting armor, and everyone is homing in on the main hall.
Now, during the night and probably with fairly large amounts of Sake, Tetomu has turned into a most contented pet, spending much of her time curled on top of the dinner table and enjoying the food the three brothers are sharing with her. Poseidon offers her a gemstone pendant and she points out she already has one. It may be that then she challenges him, because they seem to spend the night engaged in a playful drinking contest. In the end, Tetomu drinks Poseidon under the table. Feeling she's won the pendant fairly, she puts it on and it hangs haphazardly across her pink-cheeked, drunken face. However, at that point she succumbs to drink and falls asleep in one of the great chairs. This is the moment when Iriya and Red arrive. "My gemstone!" exclaims Iriya, pointing. Waking up at their arrival, Tetomu welcomes them. Posiedon wakes and starts to fight despite the fact that he's so drunk he doesn't know how many people he's fighting, they're all a sort of multi-imaged blur. Red makes the mistake of getting close enough to grab and ends up getting thrown about quite a bit. He fetches up against one pillar and both women come to make sure he's all right. But Poseidon is approaching and Red tries to spread his arms wide in a futile attempt to protect the girls. At that moment, the silver shine of a blade swiped beyond Poseidon's shoulders. Two blades, actually. He falls and behind him stand Kaito and Yellow. Iriya has eyes only for Kaito, for a moment. The two Gaoranger tackle Poseidon and tell Kaito and Iriya to go. Iriya apolgetically takes her pendant from drunken Tetomu, who protests that it's hers. Iriya and Kaito make a run for the place they need to be, a lonely outcrop beside the ocean.
The Dukes take the fight out of the castle, tossing Gaoranger hither and yon until all six are gathered, along with the green-clad army, and the battle is joined in earnest. Eventually our heroes switch into their battle armor, a pause for each of the primary five to speak to the audience and encourage us to cry "Gao Access!" with them. And the change is done, each identifying themselves and with the crowd of soldiers closest to each cheering them on. They continue to fight, but Silver suddenly notices that they are down one Aurg. Zeus has disappeared. He follows suit. The other Gaoranger eventually manage to defeat and destroy the remaining two Dukes.
There are three stones that look like the orbiting moons. At their center is a special place to set something. Iriya looks at Kaito with great affection and belief. The two are ready to do what they're supposed to. They must, however, wait for the eclipse. Unfortunately they've run out of time. Zeus arrives to ask what they're up to, Kaito spits defiance, that they will win their island back. Amused, Zeus blasts at them. Kaito leaps to protect Iriya. The blast is terrible, and Kaito gets back to his feet shakily. The next strike does him in, though. He falls, his pendant twining around the hilt of his dagger. Iriya weeps in anguish. Zeus takes a step neaerer, calling her "female human," the way you'd say a female dog/horse/elephant/monkey/octopus (those are the Gao Animals we need!) Zeus is rocked by an attack. Silver has arrived and seeks to drive him off. The dying Kaito asks Iriya to take his pendant and save the island.
The rest of the Gaoranger arrive in force to face Zeus in their armor, they fight him and hold him off. In fact they use Gao Silver's three orb attack, and the Hyakujuuken and set him aflame. He dives into the ocean and becomes giant. This is a problem. Iriya takes her pendant and Kaito's, places them on the spot and sees them become one orb within which there is a shape like a gorilla. And in the skies above the moons finally finish their process of eclipsing the suns. The power pours down into the new orb, and the island's main mountain erupts violently. Lava pours down. Inside the lava appears the form of the might red gorilla, Iriya identifies him immediately in a saddened, hopeful whisper. "Gao Kong."
The giant Zeus is not impressed at once. Then Gao Kong snatches up two huge burning trees in his great hands and begins spinning them to a sort of congo beat. The beat reaches into the watchers and Zeus begins to move to it, amused and delighted by this new addition to his world. Until Gao Kong hurtles the burning brands at him and rides the lava flow down to fight. He screeches to the sky and there is an answer. The Power Animals who normally form Gao King make their appearance from the island, however far away that is. Gao Lion and Gao Kong roar back and forth at each other, and Iriya understands. She brings Kong's orb to the Gaoranger, telling them that the red warrior is supposed to use it. Thus Red does, and as the great beasts rush into battle, the five Gaoranger are absorbed into Gao Kong's forehead through the third eye (no, it doesn't have three eyes). And now for the first time, Gao Knight is formed. For unknowable reasons the Soul Bird is there waiting for them.
Zeus sees nothing wrong with calling in his two brothers. The fact that they're dead doesn't impede him. In a blast of lightning they appear at his side, giant as he is. Poseidon launches the attack first, and Gao Knight responds in a move blindingly fast. Poseidon is finished in an instant. Zeus and Hades react in horror, and Zeus races in to fight to avenge his brother's death. He clinches with Gao Knight, and as the two struggle, Hades moves into position behind the good guys. Yellow sees him coming but it is too late. Hades slices up Gao Knight's back, then pins it by the neck and calls Zeus to finish them off. This Zeus will be glad to do, but it ain't gonna be that easy, for with a mighty flare of light, the power of the triple eclipse seems to summon five more Power Animals. The still buzzed Tetomu is puzzled over these mighty beasts, but Silver calls them by name. Gao Leon, Condor, SawShark, Buffalo and Jaguar. They form together to become Gao God, who invites Silver to pilot them, and so he takes up the Lotus Position and is absorbed into Gao God's... er... um... cockpit? The gem in the center of its head. Now the positioning and actions Silver does are very Buddhist. Maybe we should cease the new age stuff and search for connections to Buddhism in the Gaoranger mythos. After all, Buddha's mother DID see an elephant in her dream....
At any rate, to make a long story short, they kill Zeus, they kill Hades, the Gaoranger say goodbye to the islanders and all vow to remember Kaito's sacrifice. Silver reminds them it's time to go. Red returns Gao Kong's orb to Iriya. Gao God gathers up our heroes to take them home to their own world, Tetomu still somewhat less than sober and a very happy drunk. They all sit in Gao Leon's great maw as they launch. They wave, the islanders wave. Gao Kong waves. Red speaks to the audience (third and last time) then gets teased by the others, loses his balance and falls off, to cling frantically to a tooth and cry for help. This scene put the audience in laughs, by the way.
