Shaddam

"A Gohma IS hate!"

I could not tell you how old Shaddam is, except that he was born over six thousand years ago. He looked exactly as he does now when he spear-headed the Gohma attack against the Dai Tribe in China. There are things I suspect about him, but cannot know. I believe he is the one who made Gara a Gohma. I believe he reached the pinnacle of power in his people's heirarchy and could go no higher. Two people stood in his way, and one was in it by the benefit of not being around at all. Frustrated, he turned his goal towards the new attack on the people of Earth, loathing them. Loathing everyone except, perhaps, his two assistants Gara and Zaidosu.

And perhaps... just perhaps... one other person. There was a woman in his life, recently in the grand scheme of things. Were they in love? I do not have enough information to truly answer that question. But she and Shaddam became parents, except she disappeared after the birth, never to be seen again, leaving behind a baby boy. To Shaddam, that boy had to be the reason she left. And in fury and hatred, he abandoned the child to be raised by another.

Shaddam's life was one of frustrated dreams. Power was his only comfort. Rising higher his only goal. Anything that did not lead in that direction did not interest him. Anything that prevented him reaching his goal was to be destroyed. He wanted to become the 16th Gohma Emperor, but it was not as easy as all that. To do so, he would have to get through the next person in line. And that one was not around. Indeed, that one had quit, left the Gohma. And only if he came back of his own will could Shaddam challenge him. And only if Shaddam won, would he become the individual who would receive the power of the Emperor when the 15th died.
